The BIOSAR Charter is the procedural document every formula clears before it ships. It sets out what we always include and what we never use. It is developed with our dermatology advisers, reviewed each year by our scientific affairs team, and signed off by our cosmetic chemists.
The charter is not aspirational marketing. It is the record a dermatologist, a regulator, or a pharmacist can ask to see — and we will share. Below: the pillars we always include, then the procedural exclusions.
What we always include
Four pillars, every formula

Effective concentrations
Actives are chosen for published evidence and used at the concentrations that evidence supports. We do not under-dose for a marketing claim, nor push past the tolerance a dermatologist would accept.

Declared INCI
The full International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients on every pack. No proprietary opacity, no fragrance-only label hides. Dermatologists, pharmacists, and patients read the same list.

Tolerance under dermatological supervision
Every formula clears a patch-tested tolerance review under dermatological supervision before launch. Sensitive-skin compatibility is the default brief, not the exception.

Dermatologist-guided routines
Routines are shaped with the dermatologists who treat these concerns — order of application, time of day, and a frequency a real patient can sustain.

A document any dermatologist or regulator can request
The charter is not an internal-only document. It is an open record we hand over on request: to the dermatologists who assess our formulas, to regulators on registration renewal, to distributors opening a new market.
Procedural exclusions
Ingredient classes BIOSAR formulations do not include
Each exclusion is procedural. We leave out these ingredient classes because better-tolerated alternatives perform as well or better, because the risk profile sits above the BIOSAR tolerance threshold, or because the environmental footprint contradicts our disposal guidance.
- Mineral oils — better-suited alternatives perform as well for the applications BIOSAR ships.
- Phthalates: phased out across modern dermocosmetics; BIOSAR does not include them.
- Microplastics — environmental risk profile contrary to BIOSAR's disposal guidance.
- Formaldehyde releasers: sensitisation risk above BIOSAR's tolerance threshold.
- Synthetic dyes added for color alone — no formulation function, no inclusion.
- Parabens (long-chain: propyl, butyl): replaced by lower-risk preservation systems.
The full INCI of every BIOSAR product appears on the pack and on its product page. Any dermatologist or pharmacist can request a single-page science dossier for a formula.

What a patient can actually keep up with
Routines are designed under dermatological supervision, with clinicians who treat these concerns every day. Order of application, usage frequency, product interactions — decided with a dermatologist, not alone in the lab.
