In short: BIOSAR products are cosmetics, not medicines. The information on this site helps you understand your skin and our formulas; it is not a substitute for medical advice.
What this covers
This disclaimer applies to every product page, ingredient page, concern page, and editorial article on biosarlabs.com.
BIOSAR products are cosmetics
In short: cosmetics improve the appearance and condition of healthy skin. They do not treat disease.
Every BIOSAR product is a cosmetic, manufactured in BIOSAR Laboratories under GMP and ISO 22716. They are intended to cleanse, condition, protect, or improve the appearance of skin and hair. They are not medicines. They do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. Any reference on this site to a skin or hair concern — such as acne, sensitivity, dryness, or hair shedding — describes the cosmetic outcomes our formulas are designed to support, not a clinical treatment.
Educational, not medical advice
In short: read this site to understand. Talk to a professional to decide.
The articles, ingredient explanations, and concern guides on this site are written for general education. They do not replace a consultation with a qualified pharmacist, dermatologist, or other healthcare professional. Do not start, stop, or change any medical treatment based on something you read here.
When to talk to a healthcare professional
In short: if it hurts, spreads, bleeds, or changes shape, see a doctor.
Talk to a pharmacist or doctor before using any cosmetic if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you have a known skin condition such as eczema, rosacea, or active acne, if you have allergies, if you are using prescription topical medication, or if you are choosing a product for a child. Consult a doctor immediately for any skin change that is painful, spreading, bleeding, or unusual in shape or colour.
Patch testing
In short: try a small amount on your inner arm before full use.
We recommend a patch test before using any new cosmetic for the first time. Apply a small amount to the inside of your forearm, leave for 24 hours, and watch for redness, itching, or irritation. If anything reacts, do not use the product on a larger area.
Results and individual variation
In short: skin is personal, and so are results.
The visible results of a cosmetic depend on your skin type, your routine, the climate you live in, the season, your age, your hormones, and the time you give the product. Our product pages describe what each formula is designed to do; they do not promise a specific outcome on a specific timeline.
Adverse reactions
In short: stop using the product, take a photo, and tell us.
If you have an unexpected reaction to a BIOSAR product, stop using it. Take a photo if possible. Tell the pharmacist who supplied it, and email us at legal@biosarlabs.com with the product name, batch code (printed on the bottom of the package), and a description of what happened. We take every report seriously and use them to improve our cosmetovigilance.
