RESPONSIBILITY
BIOSAR's commitments cover four areas: cosmetovigilance and consumer safety, environmental impact, animal welfare, and supply-chain ethics.
Responsibility is not a separate department at BIOSAR. It is a checklist that every formula passes before it ships, a paper trail that every batch keeps for ten years, and a posture our suppliers sign off on annually.
Four commitments
01
Adverse-reaction reporting infrastructure aligned with EU 1223/2009 and SFDA guidance. Reports triaged in five working days; severe reactions trigger batch hold within twenty-four hours.
02
Packaging recyclability (PCR-PET, FSC-certified paperboard, mineral inks). No microplastics or microbeads. Water-use benchmarked against ISO 14001 reference figures per batch.
03
BIOSAR products are not tested on animals. Compliance with EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009 and the cruelty-free framework adopted in every market we sell to.
04
Halal-conscious sourcing under MUI / GSO 2055 where applicable. Annual supplier code of conduct on child labour, fair wages, and environmental compliance. Audit-on-demand contracts.
Cosmetovigilance
Cosmetovigilance is the formal monitoring of adverse reactions to cosmetic products. BIOSAR runs an internal cosmetovigilance system aligned with EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009 and SFDA cosmetovigilance guidance. Pharmacists and consumers can report reactions directly through the contact form or to the email on every product label. Reports are triaged within five working days, escalated to the responsible person under EU rules, and used to update the Product Information File when patterns appear. Severe reactions trigger a batch hold within twenty-four hours.
Environmental impact
Environmental impact is measured at three points: packaging, formulation, and manufacturing. Bottles are PET or PCR-PET where the dispenser allows. Boxes are FSC-certified paperboard with mineral inks. We do not formulate with microplastics or microbeads, and we do not use ingredients that the EU SCCS has flagged as persistent in marine ecosystems. Manufacturing water consumption is measured per batch and benchmarked against ISO 14001 reference figures.
Supply-chain ethics
Supply-chain ethics covers three commitments. First, halal-conscious sourcing: we audit suppliers against MUI / GSO 2055 standards where the ingredient permits. Second, fair-trade where applicable: when an active is grown by smallholder cooperatives, we source through certified channels. Third, supplier audit framework: every active and excipient supplier signs an annual code of conduct covering child labour, fair wages, and environmental compliance. Contracts include an audit-on-demand clause.
Documentation
Animal welfare
Animal welfare is straightforward: BIOSAR products are not tested on animals. Finished products and ingredients are not commissioned for animal testing in any market we sell to. This complies with EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009, the cruelty-free framework adopted in the markets we serve, and the equivalent provisions in SFDA cosmetics guidance.
