What it is

Chamomile extract is a botanical preparation from Matricaria chamomilla flowers, used in skincare to calm reactive skin and reduce visible erythema. Its bisabolol and chamazulene fractions help dampen pro-inflammatory pathways and offer mild surface-balancing support. Effective at 0.5% to 5% in soothing creams, after-sun, and sensitive-skin formulations. Pairs broadly with most actives. No major conflicts.
